   Welcome to Prime Time Hunts' Trapping Packages.  Maine is unique in that we are able to trap for black bear.  We are no longer allowed to use steel jaw traps, but we can use the cable foot snare, and have been very successful with them. 

   Want even more fun?  Combine your bear trapping with coyote trapping.  Maine has an ever increasing population of coyotes and catching them is a lot of fun!  

   The general trapping season runs from November -December and we offer a choice of trapping packages. You can set foot holds for coyote and bobcat as they inhabit the same home range or you can set conibears for fisher and pine martin.  All trapping packages are for a 7 day trap tend and are fully guided.  Meals, lodging and transportation to and from trapping areas are also included.  Prices do not include licenses and a $500.00 deposit is required per person.

BEAR TRAPPING 

Season Dates: September 1st-October 31st

  Maine is the only State that allows bear trapping.  Trappers, this is the Ultimate Trapping Adventure!  We will set your traps at frequently baited locations.  You are allowed one trap, (cable trap) per trapper. This package includes 7 days of trapping-Arriving on Sunday and departing the following Sunday. All meals, lodging, transportation to the trapping areas and general care of your animals are included in the package.

Bear/Coyote Combo.

Season Dates: Last two weeks of October

    The special canine season is the last two weeks of October.  Take advantage of these weeks to run a bear and coyote line.  Maine allows one cable trap for bear and unlimited foot holds for coyote.This package includes 7 days of trapping-Arriving on Sunday and departing the following Sunday. All meals, lodging, transportation to the trapping areas and general care of your animals are included in the package.

Coyote Trapping

Season Dates: Last two week of October
